In especially spa bath, the pH value can sometimes be difficult to keep on a stable level. When refilling and heating the water, the pH often increases. But even later, the pH can vary markedly. It may be due to low alkalinity in the water, which makes it difficult to keep the water properly balanced. Alka Up stabilizes the water's pH level so that it becomes easier to maintain the desired pH balance in the water.
Instructions for use: Check the current alkalinity of the water. You do this with a test kit or test strips. The ideal level of alkalinity is 80-120 mg / l. Add Alka Up if the measured level is below the ideal level. Add 50 grams of Alka Up to increase the alkalinity of 50 mg / 1000 liters of water. You should dissolve Spa Alka Up in a clean plastic container with water. The solution is poured into the spa water while the circulation pump is running. Allow the circulation to run for at least 20 minutes after the granulate has been added. Then you can measure the water's alkalinity again to check if the value is at the ideal level. Also check that the water's pH level is at the ideal level of 7.0–7.4, and preferably in the lower range.
